Requirements: Eye and ear protection; up to ~600 rounds of ammo if you shoot a high cap pistol or up to 400 rounds for single stack firearms; as many mags/speed loaders as you have; a good gun belt, strong-side kydex or leather holster and an open mind.

Course description of skills covered:
1. Range and Gun Safety
2. TFP2 (Must have attended TFP1), review and additional skills, including Quick Kill - Thanks to Brownie I can teach that one). Full list of skills covered provided in future edit)

We will be drawing from the holster 90% of the time all weekend. A holster will allow the students be able to re-holster an unloaded firearm and be safe once off the firing line while reloading mags/speed loaders without having to handle the firearm until returning to the line. Therefore and as noted above, a well made strong side holster and sturdy gun belt will be required for this course! This is because the Instructor and RSOs must necessarily remain just behind everyone's 3-9 o'clock position on the firing line and therefore cannot properly observe muzzle and trigger discipline during an appendix carry draw, livefire, and re-holster during each course of fire! That means strong-side OWB holsters only (or with prior approval of @exbluelight, students MAY be approved to use a strong-side IWB holster). No BH Serpa holsters on the range that weekend! Anyone with questions about these holster requirements should PM @exbluelight for more details!

These skills are reactionary in nature, similar to having to draw from the holster out on the streets if one needs to defend themselves. I understand some may use a cross draw holster, or fanny pack, or perhaps pocket carry presently, but once students have completed the course, I believe they'll find the benefit of a good strong side outside or inside the waistband holster with their future carry requirements.

Kydex or leather is acceptable. I use both in classes and either will suffice equally with the skills covered.

Any questions about the course, the materials listed we'll cover, etc. don't hesitate to ask. Look forward to meeting new and prior students.

Anyone interested in a TFC in February 2025??? Again, 1 day Class. I am looking for guidance for a class. Two Choices and would you attend??

Threat Focus I - entry level to get you started or tune up for those that have there
or
Threat Focus II - Must have attended TFC I, review and additional skills, including Quick Kill (Thanks to Brownie I can teach that one).

Let me know
Sir,
I'd attend either, but Threat Focus II and QKill is my preference.

I would be up for a 1 day class in February. Maybe two one day classes just NOT the same weekend. Any day in February would work for me now that I am between working engagements.
TF I or TF II or one of each both would be beneficial for me.

Beyond training/practice/review I look forward to saying hello to those I have met over the past few classes :)

As far as I know my calendar is wide open in February. So I will attend/RO either course. I'm assuming this would be at Okeechobee Shooting Sports, correct?

It can only happen if there's enough interest with full attendance. Rick and I have tried to get an event scheduled, there's not been enough interest, unfortunately.

I could certainly do another weekend course, but Ricks got everyone covered that's interested in a TF course presently.

Thanks for your thoughts sir

Added you as #19. Looks like it will be a TFP-II course. So course attendees must have attended a TFP course in the past.

My sentiments exactly Caleb. Nearly every time you post in a thread here, someone is sure to take the thread of topic with digs upon your person by the same few. Gets old after awhile doesn't it?

Perhaps BH can clean this thread up of the extraneous bs posts?
