Cell phone use has potential for interfering with navigation and communication equipment...that's why there's an airplane mode now...it shuts down those capabilities...

The guy without the seat belt will be the first to sue when a bump or turbulence causes him to bump his head...

Just as simple a solution would be if you don't want to comply with posted rules and policies find another mode of transportation...

That's exactly what I did after 9/11/01 when all the weirdness to comply with in air travel started. 🤪
I haven’t flown commercial since 1999, and never will again. 🤬

Actually, I believe we are the only country that doesn’t allow cell phone usage, so I don’t fear someone texting & shutting down the engines, just don’t buy it. I know I’ve been on mine many times, setting up people and materials for the next days location, until I lost comms & never had a “ comin in hot “ moment. Don’t believe they have a single confirmed case where, operating one has Taken down a plane, anywhere
