I don’t shoot pistols much anymore these days. Kinda boring.
Guess I’ve come full circle and the only thing that really ‘thrills’ me is shooting Garands.
I go to the indoor pistol range sometimes and shoot 1-200rnds right handed, two handed and then left handed. I write with my left and have been carrying for 30yrs on my right. So a pistol feels exactly the same in either. Can’t draw so I ‘plink’ at different distances. Get a new gun and go shoot it a bit, wipe it down and put it away.
That’s about it.
I don’t shoot a lot of pistol anymore as punching paper is boring to me. I like to go and help my friend practice and I reload mags for her. My last range practice was with the Tavor at different distances .

I mainly shoot clays almost every weekend. Its like golf but woth a shotgun. 😆. That to me is fun and challenging as your target is moving at different speeds, angles, arcs, heights, etc….way more fun them just punching holes in a paper target “x” distance away.

YMMV

The new public range here has sporting clays and trap positions. I’d like to rent a gun and give it a whirl. I did sporting clays once in Tn many years ago. They had ‘birds’ flying low thru trees or at different angles like you say. Think I hit like 2 outta 50. But it was really fun🤣

If I'm by myself and not taking a friend, my normal pattern is this:

At 5, then 7 yards
Two magazines strong hand primary with two hands.
Two magazines weak hand primary with two hands.
Two magazines strong hand primary with one hand.
Two magazines weak hand primary with one hand.

Then I do one magazine at 10 yards. I now plan to add a couple of magazines at either 30 yards or the length of the range if it's shorter (Nexus I think is 25 yards).

I also don’t shoot handguns like I used to, but first shots at the range are at 15 feet with my carry gun(S&W Shield .45). I’ll double tap one magazine of carry ammo, then move it slowly back to a max of 25 yards with range ammo.

Very rarely do I shoot with my weak hand, but I do use both two handed and single handed grips from my strong side.

As far as sight use, I do a lot of just point shooting, but concentrate on the front sight only when trying to group shots. I’m new to this area, but am trying a local range for the first time in Bunnell tomorrow.

I just go out back and shoot. Artemis joined a couple times. Did ya know a .223 will go through a 4x4 treated post, a pine tree, and head through the woods? This time of year I'm shootin tree rats

I’m surprised she didn’t put a cap in your arse.
