As my previous thread on the topic showed, most of the folks at the DOA are, at best, guessing when they give us answers about our permits. On 4/2 I was told that my license was issued and I'd have it in 10-14 days. Well, 18 days later, still no license. I called today and was told that my license was in fact issued on 4/3 and that it had been mailed on 4/12. I said "Oh, so it was mailed on the twelfth, then it should be here very soon." The lady said, "Well the 12th is a good estimate. They wait until they have a bulk mailing before they send them."
BULK MAILING? WTF?
Aren't these the same dopes who say they've gotten 90,000 apps since November? I think they'd have a bulk mailing by lunchtime every day! And now I'm reading posts about other forum members who got issued on 4/14 and got their license today.
Well, congrats to them, but the DOA is sucking bad. I'm over 100 days now. They're breaking the law and it's basically impossible to hold them to it. I'll be glad when the permit arrives and I don't have to deal with them again until I renew.Which i'll do 6 months ahead of time.
Anyway, the lady said I should have it before the weekend. Yeah, and if you pull my other leg I can fart Dixie.
