You are in for a great time.

I met my wife in 2000, she had never fired a gun. We discussed it and she said she had no problem with the fact that I had firearms.

I would go to the range and come home with that " ahhhh " feeling that one gets by relieving stress by busting some caps.

My wife observed my stress relief, and inquired about going to the range next time.

The next time came and I let her shoot a Taurus model 94 .22 caliber handgun, and she enjoyed it.

As we continued to go to the range together, she progressed to my .38, then my .357, and then my .45 acp. I simply let her progress at her own speed, never forced her to do anything, and praised her when she thought she could have done better. I kept telling her to just have fun!!

Long story short, she took the Concealed Weapon License course at the range, and applied for it on June 12th., she is now waiting for it to arrive.

Now, when I say I want to go to the range, she says you better not go without me!!

Believe it or not it has really helped us to get closer to each other, because she and I now have something that we LOVE to do together.

So Orlando Driver, make her time at the range enjoyable, and the rewards will be unlike anything you ever expected!! :D

I too got the wife a pistol almost a month and a half ago now. Went to the gun show at the Charlotte County Fairgrounds and she picked out a pink .38 Special. She likes it better than the Sub-compact XD-40 I had. She can handle the recoil better I guess. When we met back in '04 she too had never fired a weapon. Now she's getting good at skeet shooting and general plinking. Plus it gives us something else we both enjoy doing.
