I have starting at the top of the picture....Ruger GP100 357 magnum
.....Dan Wesson 1911 my pride and joy
.....Glock 23 with crimson trace lasers.

The shotgun is a Remington model 870 loaded with buckshot for home defense.

I just asking for opinions on which to carry concealed if I ever get my licence?

I personally lean towards the ruger because no worry of jams. But my Glock has never jammed. Neither has the Dan Wesson. but when it counts I know the revolver will shoot. And it holds six bullets. If I can't hit what i'm shooting at with six shoots I shouldn't be shooting at all.

just wondering your opinions?

Steve

.357 revolver = fairly wide = harder to carry concealed. Hard to reload quickly unless you've had LOTS of practice.

glock 23 = .40 S&W cal & good capacity. Almost as wide as the revolver.

1911 = single stack. less ammo, but more concealable.

Rem 870 = great SD weapon, but a bear to conceal.

I'd go with the Glock if you can wear it without printing, otherwise go with the 1911.

Personally, I would go with the Glock...reasonably compact enough for EDC, high capacity, chambered in a good defensive cartridge and virtually as reliable as any revolver. The fact then I own four Glocks and carry two of them regularly has not influenced my opinion. :D

If I can't hit what i'm shooting at with six shoots I shouldn't be shooting at all.
If you truly believe that your are sufficiently equipped to handle a deadly force situation with only six rounds, I think you will have your eyes opened if you stick around here for a while.

I'd have to say that I would carry all of them.

Glock 23, its what I carry on and off duty.

you carry the Glock23 on duty. Isn't that a little small for a duty weapon? why not the full size .40 glock??

Glock23....been my primary EDC for 18 years, now.

I DO carry a 1911 and/or FN HiPower frequently, but the Glock is still the one that leaves the house with me on work days.

Have about the same set up as you. I have a Glock 30SF as my primary EDC, S&W J-Frame revolver as my BUG, Colt Gold Cup for the range, and a SIG P220 as my night stand gun (still saving up for the shottie).

My Glock has been very reliable plus the high capacity's why it's my choice as EDC.

/thankyou all

It looks like the glock wins. One more question or does this belong somewhere else?? What's the best holster? I have a blackhawk, but it's not for concealment. it's for carrying around the house.

here in miami we have alot of home invasions.

thanks again.
Steve.

n30ki ..... I looked up the holster online and it says it 's for a 9mm.

A Glock 23 is a 40 caliber.

thanks anyway.
