What would happen?

It has become second nature to carry all the time. Most of the time I even forget I'm carrying until the trip to the ladies room. :)

I wish it was second nature to carry ID - I don't carry a purse and twice I have left the house with no ID while carrying. The first time we were at our friend's store and I locked it in the glove box until we got home. The second time I went to work and didn't realize until I got home and saw my ID in front of my computer. :eek:

Anyone know what would happen if something went down & I did not have my ID on me?

According to Florida Statute 790.06 ( License to carry concealed weapon or firearm ).

http://www.flsenate.gov/Statutes/index.cfm?App_mode=Display_Statute&Search_String=&URL=Ch0790/SEC06.HTM&Title=->2008->Ch0790->Section%2006#0790.06

790.06 License to carry concealed weapon or firearm.--

1(1) The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services is authorized to issue licenses to carry concealed weapons or concealed firearms to persons qualified as provided in this section. Each such license must bear a color photograph of the licensee. For the purposes of this section, concealed weapons or concealed firearms are defined as a handgun, electronic weapon or device, tear gas gun, knife, or billie, but the term does not include a machine gun as defined in s. 790.001(9). Such licenses shall be valid throughout the state for a period of 7 years from the date of issuance. Any person in compliance with the terms of such license may carry a concealed weapon or concealed firearm notwithstanding the provisions of s. 790.01. The licensee must carry the license, together with valid identification, at all times in which the licensee is in actual possession of a concealed weapon or firearm and must display both the license and proper identification upon demand by a law enforcement officer. Violations of the provisions of this subsection shall constitute a noncriminal violation with a penalty of $25, payable to the clerk of the court.
If you are discovered by a LEO of having a Concelead Firearm, and you do not have you Florida Concealed Weapon License on you, be prepared to be searched and/or cuffed and treated as a violator until the License can be confirmed.

Is this conduct correct on the LEO's part? He has no idea whether you are a law abiding citizen who has forgotten her license, or a felon who is about to commit a crime.

Best advise ... Be sure to carry it on you at all times. :D
I have drivers and carry license together and never leave home with out them.
That is exactly where I have mine. :thumsup :D
Note that the license alone is not enough of an ID.
Good point Sir .. :thumsup
I do have one of those business card holders with my ID in it. I move my gun from my carry holster to 1 in the bed at night and in the morning when I am running late is when I forget the ID. I will have to keep it with my carry holster.

A $25 fine isn't bad but if I catch a LEO on a bad day it could be worse.
Thanks for the input.
If you kept your Florida Concealed Weapon License with your Drivers License, would that keep you from forgetting it, since you remember to take your drivers license with you in the AM?
