I did a search & didn't find anything. What was your first gun?

Mine was a JC Higgins .22 Rifle, bolt action, 8 shot clip. I got it for Christmas from my Grandpa when I was 10 years old. i roamed the woods of NE PA with that gun all during my childhood. 53 years later & I still have it. NEVER had a misfire or jam.

My first 'gun' was a Crossman C02 BB pistol.

My first rifle was a Universal M1 Carbine.

My first handgun was a Targa 380 (a cheap Italian knock-off of a Beretta...hey, I didn't know jack about guns back then :laughing).

My first was an Ithaca single shot 20 ga. shotgun in 1972. It looked like a lever-action rifle (the lever actually opened the breech to load the shell).

In 1973, I bought a WWII era German-made pistol from the A.W Peterson Gunshop in Mt. Dora. I don't recall the make but it was really cool. It had the de-cocker on it and there were Swastika inspection stamps on the larger parts. I remember that it shot fairly accurate and I wish I hadn't traded it!

My first pistol was a daisy CO2 powered bbgun back in 1960.

My first handgun was a govt 45 issued in 1970. It was a loaner from Uncle Sam.

My first personally owned centerfire pistol was a Colt 25acp "junior" purchased in 1973.

My first rifle was a daisy red ryder back in 1958.

First "real" gun was a Red Ryder (I say real because I have pictures of myself as a 2 year old with 2 holsters and 2 cap guns). First rifle was a Marlin model 60 .22 at 12 years old. First shotgun was a Savage .410 bolt at 10 years old. First high powered rifle was a Remington model 78 .30/06. First handgun was a S&W 459 9 mm all of which I still have except for the cap guns and the Red Ryder. I've had pellet guns and other rifles (.270, 6.5x55 Swede, .50 cal TC Omega) and shotguns (.20 gauge Mossberg, 12 gauge Browning Auto 5) and pistols all throughout the past 30+ years. I'm no nut, but there are at least 2 more that I want before I go to the great hunting ground/range in the sky and that is a .45 Colt New Agent and an H&K AR. Only then will I consider my collection complete.

My first firearm was a single shot .22 Remington. The next was a cheap .22 revolver. I think it was made by Rohm, if anyone's ever heard of them. That revolver is the only firearm I've ever gotten rid of.

My first gun was a single shot 20 guage shotgun ( I cannot remember the make or model ) that my dad gave me back in the 60's. That little 20 guage sure knocked off a lot of rabbits and pheasants back then.

I have not thought about that little 'ol gun for a long time, I wonder if my mom still has it in the closet of my old room back home.

I'm going to have to ask her when I talk to her on the phone this weekend.:laughing
