Wanting to see what some of you think is the most underated gun out there? Meaning they are great guns but not recognized as such. Maybe due to lack of marketing, trouble getting into the country etc etc.

For me personally I really think the CZ 75B High Polished S.S /The CZ brand in general is one hell of a gun. Smooth trigger pull. Barely any recoil yet they are not discussed a lot nor do I see them for sale often.

Through some of the forums I belong to a lot of people like the CZ brand. Although I did hear not so much in the .40 cal but I love the 9mm. Thoughts on others?

I agree with the CZs often being overlooked, as are the Tanfoglio clones. I also think the Kahr series of pistols are somewhat underrated, even if they are a bit overpriced. Their quality is on par with any other major service pistol manufacturer, IMO.

Since ya'll mentioned Kahrs and CZs, I'll throw in Bersa. Very reliable, built like tanks.

BTW...I love the CZ series of pistols....REALLY need to get one!

In addition to what has already been mentioned, I think the Rugers are much under rated. With the exception of the LCP and SR9 and the '80's series autos, all of which have had reliability issues, the new Rugers are very reliable and accurate. And a good value for price.

+1 on the Bersa

Interesting Bersa has been mentioned a couple of times. As I made a post the other day I went to the range with my friend and he brought along his wife's Bersa .380 That was the first time him or I ever shot it but it was very nice to shoot with no recoil and very smooth. Do they come in any other caliber than the .380?

Not famliar with CZ, I'll have to do some homework. What models do you have exp with guys?
I used to have a CZ97b (45 cal) . Great gun, very accurate. But it has a really long trigger reach and my hands are not so big. Sold it to buy a Glock. My buddy has an CZ85 ( ambi 9mm). I've shot it and it's also very accurate. It's his winter carry gun. He lives in MA so he actually changes with the seasons.

Rock Island Armory.. I've have a GI model since early o6 over 6300 rnds through it all parts original with the exception of the kimber mags I use. only issues were a few ftf's in the first 200 rnds never a problem since. I have heard of people having a problem here and there but usually very minor. I will admit the finish is not very appealing but theres no rust on it. I at one point used a brillo pad on it and stopped after about an inch of the finish being removed..I used water and a rag to wipe it off to inspect the damage to the finish and it was not there! lol seriously the finish around the spot thinned slightly and covered up the spot..it is barely noticable so to me thats great! At any rate I recommend RIA at the very least as a begginers 1911..mine is an everyday ccw and I trust my life with it.It has never failed to go bang.

I'll add the S&W Sigma VE. Hear all kinds of bad stuff mostly from people who don't seem to have one. The biggest problem seems to be that they are not a Glock. The 9mm was my first pistol, less than a year old now. I've fired several hundred rounds with zero issues. They can be had new for very little over $300 and come with two 16 round mags. Still have it and will probably sell it only because it's too big a CC for me. Got a 9mm Walther PPS for carry and I have an XD .40 for home defense. Good, reliable weapon from all reports I've seen from people who actually own one. But they get trashed like Sarah Palin.

+1 to this. I had the 9MM version, reliable as heck. Severely underrated.
