What I carry in my gun is a round that is reliable, accurate and is easy for me to obtain locally. All of which are factors that depend on you, the gun you own, and what you have for a source of ammo.

Speer Gold Dot is used by a number of manufacturers to produce good quality ammunition. The Corbon DPX line is another good choice. The Winchester Ranger and Federal LEO lines are good, but not always easy to obtain.
