Picked this up yesterday. It was made around 1937-1939. It has a peep sight and a Ward's Telescope Sight Model 10. It's a bolt action tube feed that shoots 22 shorts, longs, and long rifles. It's in very good shape. I hope to get it too the range soon.

It was actually made by Mossberg for Wards. It cross references to a Mossberg Model 45 / 46.

This isn't mine, it's a picture of a Mossberg Model 46 which looks just mine.

Nice find! One of the few things around that is even older then I am.

Out of curiosity, where do you go to the range? Just wondering if there is one any closer than Shoal River.

SuhWEEEEET, Old Guy! What a great find. I love those old .22's. Check out that LONG tube scope. That, my friend, is cool!

I used to go to Shoal River, but the last few times, I've been going to Jay's Range by Baker. You can rent any gun they have on display, including the Class III weapons. They're not as crowded as Shoal River, they have a 150 yd rifle range, and you can practice double taps to your hearts content.

I need to renew my Hurlburt membership, then it's one more place to go shoot (plus it's closer and cheaper!!)
I just recently picked up a Mossberg "New Haven" 240C (which is a Model 340B) It has a 7 round magazine and shoots the .22 short, long or long rifle also. It also has a Telstar 4x15 scope on it. I cleaned it and oiled it up. There isn't a corrosion mark on it. It looks very nice for being 50 years old. I can't wait to get it out to the range and play around with it.
