My son, Daniel, was there for the first time. I thought he did very well and made some real progress. I didn't hurt that he had virtual one on one instruction with ebl for most of the day, which would improve anyone's shooting (sure worked for me)! It was a great day. Weather was superb, course was great, there were a few new wrinkles to stretch the mind. All in all a great and instructional day of shooting.
Daniel did a good job. I think he was a little nervous at first when I told him that I wanted to work with him one on one. I just told him to take a breath....that I promised not to bite. Once he settled in, he held great form and accomplished the skills easily. He really got QK easily. I told him not to over think it, adjusted his reference point and his targets were right on. ebl

That's the beauty of QK for those that approach it with basic gun handling skills and more importantly, an OPEN mind! In my first QK course with brownie almost 5 years ago, a long three day weekend of Rifle-Shotgun-Pistol QK, he had me hitting things I'd never imagined I could within about 15 min! He claimed we already had the ability to do so, he'd just opened our minds to what we could achieve and then helped us develop those skills. To me brownie was and is a kind of Jedi Master, we were his Padawan. Life was never the same after that first course and the several more since! Now you're the Jedi Master doing the same for a new set of Padawans! :2thumsup

I will check my schedule and get back to you.
Welcome to FCC from Palm Beach County, Hedwig! :wave

You've posted in a thread for a course that has already been held. So either 1) you've got the wrong thread and meant to post in the thread for the 02 November course, 2) you've made some other genuine mistake, or 3) there's some other reason for your post. If you meant to ask about the 02 November course, I presume you have already been in contact with exbluelight about it. If not, I suggest you do that promptly.

Since this was your first Post to FCC, please take the time to post you're own Introduction thread to FCC telling us a little about your firearms experience so the members will get to know a little about you. You can do that by going to the Introduce Yourself section of The Front Office and start your very own introduction thread. Then you'll find that lots of other FCC members will know to chime in to properly welcome you to the forum, and will be more responsive in answering questions!

In case you weren't aware, you can stay current on pertinent Florida Statutes regarding use of force and firearms law by going right to the source using these links for Chapter 776 - Justifiable Use of Force and Chapter 790 - Weapons and Firearms. I'd also like to suggest you obtain your own copy of FLORIDA FIREARMS Law, Use & Ownership by Jon Gutmacher!

Finally, I would like to recommend you consider joining Florida Carry and join the effort to protect the rights of Floridians to keep and bear arms!

Again, welcome to FCC! :grin
