That's pretty much the use I found for them. I've got one screwed to the back side of a night stand (or is that one an UncleMike's?).

I use mine for carry around the house. I love it but it doesn't conceal well.

Funny... I have 2 (Ankle and Paddle) for a G26 and like them very much. I can see Brownie's point of reducing draw speed, but I believe he could draw faster than I, even if he had to go get his gun out of his safe first! (Read this as Brownie be da man:drinks)

The above notwithstanding, I like the Fobus because there is ZERO chance of accidentally dislodging the gun from the holster, they are immune from sweat, and there is no flap or lock. A good sharp pull will draw every time (with practice).

I use to be a big fan of the Fobus line but I've since moved on to kydex for competition and leather (mostly) for carry. I still have one Fobus though...:D

I have 2 Fobus holsters! One for my Baby eagle full size 9mm, and one for my Taurus PT-92. Both are great for general use, but neither are worth a darn for concealed carry. I do however get quite a bit of use out of them for concealed carry under a jacket during the winter. With a jacket on they conceal as good as anything else at least for me. They are extremely comfortable though! Other than winter though they are pretty much useless unless you can leagally open carry!

I use mine a lot but only with jackets. I guess up here on the panhandle it gets cooler than other places. I used them quite a lot when I lived in Iowa. They are really easy to conceal under a jacket or untucked flannel shirt.

I sure hope all y'all are talking about just this one brand and not about kydex in particular 'cause i have a crossbreed supertuck coming in the mail. I do understand how a paddle holster would not be very good for retention. Thats why i like IWB, even though it is more uncomfortable. I just feel safer with it that way, and to me it seems to be easier to conceal.

Fobus

Good for use as stated by others, to store or stash a gun BUT NOT FOR CARRY.

Mostly used a starter holster by folks just getting into concealed carry, before they know any better.

Friends don't let friends buy a FOBUS.

The video is old and the holster has been redesigned. I love mine. Concealment is not great but Ok. I primarily bought mine for open carry while camping or fishing.
