The Most Efficient Bureaucrat:

Hands down is Ken Wilkinson

"Good morning:

Your concealed weapon license was issued in printed last week, on the 13th. It is already on its way to you in the mail.

However, while checking your file this morning, I found that there was a typographical error in the spelling of your street name. I have already corrected this error. This misspelling will not affect the validity of the license, and it probably will not cause a problem in mail delivery. Nonetheless, I want your license to be accurate. Therefore, I am sending you a corrected license. You should receive your corrected license within approximately 10-12 business days.

Please let me know if you have any other questions.
Sincerely,
Ken Wilkinson"

This is so rare. It's rare because not only did I get a response, but a quick one and one where there was obviously enough extra time taken to see (and care) that my street name was spelled wrong.

For those who like keeping records on how long it is taking people, my app. was mailed on June 1st, money order cashed June 10th, and as the letter says, issued on the 13th of August.

Good deal -- i know they are all working on the overload but it's these things that make the difference. Maybe call and ask for his boss to say job well done. I'm sure he'll appreciate it.

+1:thumsup:dancingbanana:drinks

Ken helped me. I was getting the run around...after five months. I sent an open email to his office. Ken responded IMMEDIATELY, we sorted the problem out, sent him $5.00 that I shorted them and the next day he called to say he walked down my application the the lady who approves them. The next day he called to say my license was being printed and when I should expect to receive the license. Gave me his direct number in case I had any other issues.
It came just as he said. If he had not gotten involved as he did, it would have taken another two months to receive it (long story).
Great guy, very helpful, smart, kind and SHOULD BE RUNNING THE PLACE!:thumsup

PS. per some of the "old guys" here, I sent a love letter to his bosses about him. I hope you will too!:thumsup

I'm impressed. Just having this guy on staff (sounds like he is a problem solver) is sort of a testament to our fair state's position on the 2nd Amendment.
And Ken sounds like he has it together for sure. I wish I could send the wife's application straight to him.

We will see. So far he has not responded to my email. I sent him another this afternoon. I called Monday, someone told me my prints were in order and was waiting for someone to process the form....and then hung up. I sent the email to ask what all this meant.
