Hi, this is a dum question because I already know that the best answer is "stop whining, go to the gym and lose weight", but in the mean time. I have a SW J frame. I have been carrying it OWB either at 3 or at 3:30. When standing it is no problem, the gun is easily concealed and very comfortable, the problem is sitting down.

At 3 o clock the "love hande above the belt wants to pusth the but of the gun out and that makes the barrel of the gun dig into my thigh. At 3:30 or 4 the cylinder of the gun now starts sticking into my back and in the appendix position the belly pushes the butt of the gun even worse than at 3:00. I tried an IWB holster by Galco and found it to be very uncomfortable. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Get a Berami hip grip which. It will solve that problem.

The gun won't be as fast to access, but it will hide no matter what position you are in and be comfortable. It looks like this one on my 640-1 S+W in 357 magnum.

I was at the Gun Show today in West Palm Beach. One of the vendors had an interesting concealment holster

Not really my cup of tea, you basically just lift the cell phone (attached to the holster) and the handle to you firearm is right there.

Also have you tried putting the holster in the small of your back?

I have the same problem.

OWB and IWB holsters just don't work for me for all the usual reasons.

The only two ways I can carry a J-frame is either in a SmartCarry (Thunderwear) holster or in a Nemesis pocket holster my Cargo slacks/shorts front pocket.

That being said, my preference is for the Nemesis pocket holster.

For a relatively lightweight gun like a J-frame, the Bianchi Hawk shoulder holster should work just fine without breaking the bank...here's mine with a 2" K-frame, but you get the idea.

I used the pagerpal ONCE and sold it. It was very uncomfortable and not very easy to access. I also don't particularly like the fact I need two hands to get my weapon. I prefer a one handed operation since i MIGHT need my other hand when the SHTF. Of course this is only ME and some will probably swear by it...ymmv....

I carry a S&W M&P340 in a Mika pocket holster. It conceals perfectly in shorts and trousers.
I have both a Mika round pocket holster and a square.
I have never used the square because I started with the round and it was so good I never used the square.

Looks to me, another not so skinny guy and I used to carry a J frame, that your grip is longer than the frame of your gun and the gun rides too high in the holster you are using. And you need a better belt.

Try pocket carry, I sometimes do that in a Desantis Nemesis.

Or you can try using a Crossbreed Supertuck holster, it allows you to change the cant and ride hight of your weapon. www.crossbreedholsters.com

I also use and recommend a Wildeness Belt. www.thewilderness.com
