there is nothing in fs 790.06 that says you cant carry there

Here are the off limits places

any place of nuisance as defined in s. 823.05;
any police, sheriff, or highway patrol station;
any detention facility, prison, or jail;
any courthouse;
any courtroom;
any polling place;
any meeting of the governing body of a county, public school district, municipality, or special district;
any meeting of the Legislature or a committee thereof;
any school, college, or professional athletic event not related to firearms;
any school administration building;

any portion of an establishment licensed to dispense alcoholic beverages for consumption on the premises, which portion of the establishment is primarily devoted to such purpose;

any elementary or secondary school facility;
any career center;
any college or university facility;
inside the passenger terminal and sterile area of any airport;

Have fun :pistols

Not that it matters here but It is against the law in the state of GA. I just came back from there so I had to read the statute before going :D

any public building, or within the curtilage of any public building, or in any public
parking lot, public street, right-of-way, sidewalk right-of-way, or within any public park
or other public grounds.
(b) It shall be unlawful for any person, other than a law enforcement officer, to have in
his or her possession or on his or her person or in any vehicle any firearm while
participating in or attending any demonstration being held at a public place.
(c) It shall be unlawful for any person, other than a law enforcement officer as defined in
subsection (a) of this section, to have in his or her possession or about his or her person

remove himself or herself from the prescribed area until such time as he or she no longer
was in possession of any firearm. This subsection shall not apply to any person in
possession of or having on his or her person any firearm within a private dwelling or
other private building or structure.

inkedott bumped into me at the Downtown Tampa rally, and he was packing his .40, and I was packing my .45.

I bet we weren't the only ones there "exercising" our Second Amendment rights either. :D

That is why they call it Concealed Carry ... don't ask, don't tell.

(( BTW inkedott, it was great to meet you ... :drinks Just don't admit to anyone that you were hanging around with me, it'll hurt your reputation! :D ))

As long as you would have not gone inside the building, you would have been alright.
But then you could also say since the PoPo was there to "keep the peace", that you were relatively safe. :rolf

Well, hammer.

Now that the event is over, how did it go? Did you carry? How did you feel? Was it like a second wally walk? I'd have been a bit nervous being jostled in the close-quarters crowd. All those right wing extremists around you:laughing

i did carry- and i was fine. i've been carrying for a few months now everywhere i go. HOWEVER- it was a little windy, and there were La Policia everywhere, and i was holding a huge "dont tread on me" flag, so i was more concerned with the wind pulling my shirt up, or causing printing at the wrong time...

but it was great experience, and i'm glad i went to support my freedom and liberty

i attended the 2 ocala partys & 1 in bronson..i questioned the ocala party as there where close to 2000 in attendance...being a vet. and after homeland security"s lovely slip that very morning, i wasn"t sure what to expect. i was carrying a sign labeled ...I AM A VETERAN & A TERRORIST...after many handshakes & meeting a great bunch of folks..as we stood talking in a group of about 7 vets,i believe his name was dillon, kinda hinted about how its probably illegal to be concealed...nobody really said much,then he laughed & we looked down noticing 6 of us were actually carrying...man if that would have been noticed im sure we would have been rounded up,sent to gitmo as a true militia...after reading your post above i see how innocent can turn ugly quick..thanks for the info
