I sent in App. in April and I hate to wait for anything!!!!
So as you can figure I am going crazy waiting on my permit!!

I think it is crazy that we have to wait so long just to excircise our rights!! Did I spell that right?

I think we need to start a petition for them to hire more people!! We pay all that money to wait around and hope we don't get mugged!!:pistols

We spoke about too much stuff, gave me lots of info about agency, and process they take. Phone jockeys arn't at liberty to give info, even on our own app:thumbsdwn But was also told they were working on middle of march.
That they have aleady recieved more apps this already this year than any years past. Did get some good news though, was told my license was issued and would recieve in 7-14 days. Hang in there it will come just have to have patiences.

we all had to wait, some longer than others. I know a couple who sent theirs in at the same time......one took 4 months the other almost 6 months. I can recommend after 60 days you start calling at least once a week and ask for the status of you appplication. Good luck

Hey Jethro,

Why don't you channel that impatient energy into productive reading while you wait? For your reading enjoyment we have loaded up the training and tactics section here on the forum just for people like you. I've also taken the liberty of using the Moderator Credit Card to fill the snack room with all kinds of snackie crunchies.

We can't hurry up your license any more than mine was hurried up (110 days including two sets of prints) and goodness knows I was the biggest baby of them all during my wait. I got over it just like you will. :D

While you wait it is important that your mindset has also been properly trained. It's a never ending process which is why that is my favorite section of our forum.

Enjoy.

As always, nicely put Mama Bear!

Jethro, there are a lot of things you can work on while you are waiting. Patience will be a very valuable part of your whole mindset when you finally receive your license and start carrying. So consider this practice.

Jethro,

My processing time was as follows:

4/3 - Application Sent (electronic prints)

4/21 - Check Cleared

6/26 - Permit Arrived

I never spoke to anyone at FDLE.

I'll bet you receive it next week.

Good luck...

Lower processing times depends on a lot of factors, included complete and accurate application, clean background, and submitting live scan prints. Plus the constant calling and asking for a supervisor helps as well. Even then your still looking at 100-110 days mailbox to mailbox

They said it would be 3 weeks and I didn't speak up...

My daughter's license took about 3-4 weeks...of course, that was before all you 'Johnny-come-latelys' jumped on the bandwagon. :laughing
Ah the good old days.

I had a boss once waxing nostalgic about how you used to be able to drink and drive back when she was young. Worse thing that could happen was you'd veer off the road and get muddy pushing the truck back on to the path.

Them ain't the good old days. The good old days were when the horse would find his way home while you snoozed. :)
