one of the guys teaching the class I took recommended not calling because "if you do, they pull your file to view it and put it back at the end of the line" delaying even more..

but from what i've gathered from the experiences here it doesn't seem that way.

I am interested to know if everything's going ok.. I sent a m/o instead of check so that's not helping..

I think I sent it in around Nov 22.

That sounds like he's making an assumption. How would he know that, unless he asked a DOACS employee if that's what he or she actually does when receiving an inquiry?

I don't Believe that is a true statement,While waiting for mine i made several calls and didn't delay it any more i recieved mine in 65 days and this was from the day check was cashed.I have realized that when you call there you get the receptionist and she is defenately no help ask to speak to someone in the concealed weapons license dept,cause that receptionist is good at blowing people off she will tell you anything to get you off the phone.

I don't think we should be calling until it hits ninety days. We all knew that's how long they have to process the app. when we sent it in. They do have a job to do, let's let them get it done. With that said once it reaches ninety days then we should call and demand to know what is the hold up. I'm pretty sure it says shall issue with in ninety days. FB

Agreed, First call to them should be at 90 days, and speak to a supervisor.

Florida law says that after 90 days DOA needs to either tell you why you have been denied, or they need to issue your license.
