Sent in both electronic and paper prints

When I went to get my prints taken They used both the electronic and the printed card. I guess I am confused. What is the deal? They printed the prints from the electronic computer. I still had to send in the prints. Is this only electronic? I would think that electronic would speed things up.:aarg:aarg:aarg:aarg

Is better to make copies and send it in. You dont have nothing to lossed. Thats wath I did and had no problems. Is better to be safe than sorry.
Electronic used to be the way to go but I think now days it really doesnt matter with the number of apps the DOA is dealing with.....The do print your electronic prints on a card, copy it and send it in and begin your roughly 4 month wait as it is right now. I suggest getting all the things you need if you dont have while u wait.....G30

Well I guess they have both to verify with. It will be my luck that they will be something wrong with one and they will send it back to start over.

Thanks for your reply. Just starting to get worried. Long wait with no info as to where you stand.

The printed copy is predominantly used as a receipt and is in NO WAY used to actually check your prints, though it could be as the quality from the laser printed copy is actually better than that of any ink prints.
I would have to agree. If memory serves me correctly, the copy the the S.O. gives you had the control number (or whatever they called it) and was suppose to be sent along with your app. Maybe just so they could get the number off of it or something.
The answer is in the instruction booklet under Electronic prints.

4. WHAT TO SUBMIT TO THE DIVISION OF LICENSING
After you have paid for your electronic fingerprint submission, you can submit your application to the Division of Licensing.
Be sure to include the following items with your application: photocopies of your fingerprint scan and all receipts (including
the CWCS receipt), a photograph, training documentation and a check or money order for the $75 licensing fee.
NOTE: PLEASE submit your application to the Division of Licensing WITHIN 90 DAYS of your fingerprint scan to
avoid inconvenience and additional expense.***

You use that printed scan card to pay, because it has your TCN in the upper left hand corner. Then you send in the printed scan card simply because the instructions say to. Also it seems like you were confused with the thought that you were doing both electronic and paper prints, this is not the case, paper prints are the old school roll your finger in ink and then onto the paper. Hope that helps! Also just something I did was made a photocopy of absolutly everything I submitted in that packet. The military gets you in the habit of this real quick because paperwork gets lost so much, never submit anything without copying it first!
