I have a co-worker that his dad recently passed away and he has his fathers guns and need to send them to his nephew in California, what will be the best way to do that? Does he need an FFL dealer or can he send them using FedEx or UPS?
There are a lot of restrictions on what firearms can enter and be transferred to California residents lawfully.I have a co-worker that his dad recently passed away and he has his fathers guns and need to send them to his nephew in California, what will be the best way to do that? Is that a California restriction to only use FedEx I'm not aware of?And you can only ship, legally, through Fed Ex. Also, there are only certain Fed Ex locations that accept the firearms for shipping. Check the Fed Ex website to find a location.
You can ship anything you want via UPS OR Fed-EX. Handguns must go Next-Day.Is that a California restriction to only use FedEx I'm not aware of?
Guns are regularly shipped through UPS from individuals who send them to others going through our FFL and from our UPS station all across the US to other FFL's by customers as well.
