http://www.ktvu.com/news/ktvu-local-news/san-francisco-board-of-supervisors-designates-nra-domestic-terrorist-organization

The city of San Francisco has formally adopted a resolution calling the National Rifle Association a domestic terrorist organization.

San Francisco's Board of Supervisors on Tuesday took the step of officially declaring the nation's premier gun-ownership advocates a terrorist organization.

District 2 Supervisor Catherine Stefani wrote the scathing declaration reading in part, "the National Rifle Association spreads propaganda that misinforms and aims to deceive the public about the dangers of gun violence."
And, of course, my meme:

I'd say they are the terrorists. San Francisco is growing more disgusting by the day. They should clean up their own house before trying to make a splash in the news.

And, THIS is why so-called RF laws are a very, very bad idea.

They're not an "imperfect" idea as has been argued by some here.

They are perfectly unconstitutional. And, that renders them 100% wrong.

There are significant issues at hand here. If I'm OFFICIALLY designated a "terrorist" by a government body, that has serious legal ramifications for me. It should have serious Constitutional ramifications for THEM.

This isn't a harmless gesture or declaration of "feelings" about social justice. This goes beyond virtue signaling.

Agree 100%. By designating the NRA as a terrorist organization, they can argue its members must be terrorists and if they are terrorists they are too dangerous to have firearms. No problem then using a rfl to confiscate all nra members’ firearms.

That bunch of morons is so incompetent they can’t even keep the sidewalks free of feces and used drug needles. I’m surprised they had the intelligence to find the meeting room and doubly surprised they could count high enough to tell if the measure passed. On second thought, they probably paid a consultant to count the votes for them.

Once the storm clears, I shall trudge through the forests of apathy, around Liberal Tears Falls, cross Cry Me a River where it empties into Lake Nobody Cares. I will make my way to the north end and attempt to dredge some "care" from the bottom of Give-a-F*ck-Bay.

It is San Francisco. You can't buy bottled water, or use plastic straws, but shooting drugs and $hitting in the street is perfectly fine.

I keep my fingers crossed for the big one that drops the entire city into the bay.

San Francisco is just what the Bloomberg & Soros owned socialist Democratic party wants for All of America.
The N.W.O. order has been smearing the N.R.A. and destroying it from within. This terrorist propaganda will be spread all over the country and many people will start believing this to be true.
I just signed up for five more years and will stand by the N.R.A. and will stay a supporting member until I die or they totally kill off the N.R.A.

One wonders if the NRA will take any legal action against this slander or will deny it any legitimacy by completely ignoring them? :dunno

Nobody can deny their legitimacy. They are a body of the government... subject to the Constitution.

This isn't someone just expressing a personal opinion, as silly as it is in that context.

It's an official gov't body. And, they OFFICIALLY declared the NRA a terrorist organization. That is a significant action, which should incur the appropriate liabilities.

If only the NRA were half the boogeymen that the left thinks they are.
They do a hell of a lot more for us than any other organization, bar none

Well being a member long enough for most to know I am a more moderate conservative than most in here, I think I am at the point I see action instead of defensive wording needed against these sanctuary cities bull crap politicians. Dig deep into their lives, pull every piece of dirt, guilt, marriage infidelities. payoffs and kick backs there is on them. Show the "poor people they defend" who really is getting screwed by these all caring dirt bag politicians. Show the actual dollars wasted on freebie programs, show the raising crime statistics in these cesspools. What the hell is wrong with the republican party anyhow???? They have all the facts and figures on their side and still do not have the ability to show idiots how they are being taken advantage of? The NRA...now enough is enough! All you that defend them to no end...get a brain, grow some balls and stand up and demand they start doing a better job of defending not only their organization but the rights of the people shoveling millions of dollars their way!! The NRA as an organisation is not the problem, the leadership is. The leadership is NOT representing us or is it functioning as it needs to be. WE are the NRA...1 man 10 board members...a crap load of useless Hollywood has beens are not the NRA....WE gun owners...we voters...we real Americans make the NRA!! Go on the offensive and demonstrate how the NRA trains, how they develop workshops for young kids to learn safety and why we have the 2nd Amendment. They are afraid of confrontation....there should be mobile van with literature and real spokespersons lecturing and informing people. WE the PEOPLE have let this country become a gun afraid/gun stupid society and not demanding more from the NRA has been a large factor. Cut the crap of...."where would we be without the NRA"? Where would we be with out the steel unions of the 50s? The Engineering unions of the 60s?... Aviation machinists of the 70s-90s? The teachers unions represent their own interests in today's world of education....as most all unions do today!!! What they were and what they are are worlds apart...just like the NRA!!! Their officers are making more and more money from our donations than ever before and they are doing less and less. Individual state organizations have much less available money and seem like they do more. I strongly feel unless we start to develop a plan that is able to counter act anti gun beliefs we will have no gun rights in this country within 20 years. I will not be alive then, but I do not want to think about the day my grand kids will have no gun rights. I do not want to think about the day that owning my guns that I pass down to my great grand kids make them a criminal!!!!! These mass murders are not gun issues...we have millions of guns...a handful of murders....that is the point that needs to be driven home!!!!

You make some very good points, but getting the NRA to change from million dollar clothing allowances and wifes 10000 $ hair care bills. With giant pay checks it's like trying to get congress to vote for term limits.

Dental fillings are medically unsound. I don't need to wait on the people who ordinarily make those determinations officially, I can just declare it so and that makes it so. :grin

And it's these people that make Red Flag Laws terrifying.

They are pushing RFLs under the guise of public safety when in fact they could care less about you, me or some other "innocent" person getting killed by some whacko with a gun.

What they are trying to do is get these laws in place in all 50 states because they will become the single biggest work around to the 2A that ever existed. They are putting them inplace so they have a means and method already established to quickly and quietly neutralize anyone that speaks up or against them. With no due process, no right to face your accuser, no right to defend yourself before the Storm Troopers come and confiscate. Then of course you have to defend yourself, at your cost to try and appeal, win and then....get your stuff back (in what condition?), etc....yeah good luck.

Call it a "conspiracy theory" sure. But do you honestly think the lunatics running for the Democrats, all of whom are trying to outdo one another on their next level of assholia of their gun control agenda wouldn't use these laws to their fullest extent possible for anyone that gets in they way of their agenda? I wouldn't trust that as far as I could throw any of them.

Conspiracy Theory over.

PS: Beerhunter, I reserve the right to delete this post pending the outcome of the coming election. :grin
