This is not for the faint of heart...These snakes are HUGE...they need to put these on a shoot on sight list as there are no known predators.

Check this video of one python at some ones house in south Florida...

Be warned ... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aDlNy0cIw4A

Lets play a little game....after you watch the video....post your reaction......Be honest

The State has started hunting them now. Don't know the process but I think it is like the one used for hunting gators - have to apply for permit etc.

But the real question:

How do you shoot a python? The head is awful small to hit. Does a .40 cal work? I somehow doubt a snake shot load will do enough damage.
With one of these ... :D

I had an ex who's kid had a python... he was afraid of it and I sorta got to feed it by default.... The &^%#$er bit me, and coiled on my arm thinking it was the third mouse.... Blood was dripping from inside the coiled mess (mine), kid was screaming not to kill it... hand hurt... I was PISSED off!

I got a 5 gallon bucket, filled it with water, thrust hand and snake into it.... 20 mins later, he still didn't let up! Added ice to water, snake let go, snake died shortly thereafter..... two months later the last festering tooth worked its way out of my skin......

I SAY KILL THEM ALL NOW, KILL THEM FAST, KILL THEM WITH EXTEREME PREJUDICE

I WISH I were worthy of the accolade... his head was hidden in the coils! I didn't stab it for fear of stabbing myself!

Thats how!

That or a shottie!

FYI If one ever attacks you (in a way like mentioned that isn't life threatening) remain calm and get whoever is near you to get you a bottle of rubbing alcohol or vodka or STRONG liquor! They will release almost immediately!

YEP...its true!:drinks

LOL I have had a few big ones! I don't keep them around anymore because they are filthy animals and have no remorse. My biggest one was Luke, when I got her the name was lucifer and we thought she was a HE! Luke (I changed the name) was 16' long and weighed about 120 lbs. She was more than capable of killing an adult with no issue, and would have likely killed and eaten small kids if allowed to.

I like snakes but I don't trust them. Luke was a Burmese Python (one of the largest breeds in the world) and I sold her to a breeder where she lived out the rest of her life.

I have a video of this one! Its massive and honestly is scary! Imagine running up on this guy!

Couldn't you just start whacking off pieces of him, starting at the tail and working your way up? :rolf

reckless01, the strong liquor is for the victim, right? Other wise how do you pour it down the snakes mouth? Oh, I've got it! The wonderful smell of 15 year old single malt scotch makes him release his mouth-grip and turn his attention to the Glennfeddich! That works every time on me. :drinks

That's a good one!! :drinks

Actually the alcohol gets under their scales and irritates the heck out of them! But If I was attacked by a huge snake like the one in the video I think I'd need a drink....and I'm not a drinker!
