[Mountain Dew Man]

Here is a holster I am in the process of ordering for my father, from Pure Kustom, for his birthday. I may make a nice holster but I cannot tool something like this. Rocky and his team do really nice stuff. He is also trying a new "burning art" onto his holsters. His motorcycle seats are INSANE!!!

Once I get it, I will post a pic w/ dad's Glock in it.

Yeah, I think he will too. My Mom will also like it. She is pretty much an unrecognized expert on the war. I swear, between she and I we have about 1000 books on Vietnam, if not more. When I was a teenager we spent an entire day at The Wall, The Tomb, and all the others there. It was powerful.

I also know that will be passed down to me and then to my children. It will be nice to have in the family. Rocky is a great guy; real laid back and has amazing ideas.

I hope to get into tooling w/ this Sporran thing but not betting on it; thanks to FCC, my table is quite busy.

Yes sir, you are right. I never understood the bonds of soldiers until I became one and had the honor to lead and train them.
My father and other family members are Vietnam Vets and I have seen what it did: some good, some bad. However, they are my role models and they inspired me to enter the Army.

My Dad did his stint: 1965-1968. He will be 63 this year; I will be 38, but I act like I am 12... who am I kidding... my 5 y/o and I argue over what cartoons to watch. LOL. I talked 'em into Bugs Bunny tonight... Tomorrow is the Stooges. LOL.

I doubt it Dave..I did mine from '69-72...but I do have a couple of 20+ yr old boys still hanging around the house..bigger than me, both of 'em..Once in awhile they get to feeling froggy..keeps me young in the mind anyways, just cant keep up with 'em anymore.

I was too young for Vietnam though I did get a draft card in '74 and was issued a draft number. But Trick Dick was pulling people out in '74 so my number was never called. I had a half brother and an uncled that were there. and like you I saw what ti did to them - some good things and some bad. I didn't join until 1979.

Sometimes, Dave, I think mine was the whole : censored amusement park....bumper cars included. Some mornings I hurt in places I didn't know I had. Nothing like bending over to tie your shoes and staying there for a few days! Of course I realize that the vast majority of men my age didn't spend the better part of their adult lives jumping out of helicopters, slamming planes into the deck at 150 knots and catching 100lb dogs on a bitesuit at 35mph. I wasn't born dumb....just kinda fell into it.

That is a sweet holster...You're dad will love it.

BTW, that POW/MIA holster is sweet but from what I have seen I am pretty sure you can surpass that level of quality given the time and effort. Your stuff looks great and I am looking forward to my new Little Bear gun belt and the G26 holster. :drinks
