i got my license wednesday. i live in tamarac but my license says fort lauderdale. everything else is correct.
some times my mailing address does come up as fort lauderdale when checked by zip code. i have had things shipped to me with the address marked fort lauderdale with no problems. should i call them and report this. thanks for any advice.

I would say your fine. I dont know what you zip code is but there are tons of zip codes through out the U.S. that are used for more than one city name. For example, I used this website

which I have to use often with my job and typed the city of tamarac and state florida and got this result

33319.....Tamarac........FL

As you can see typing in tamarac produced a result of fort lauderdale for the 33323 zip. Dont worry about it unless the zip or street address is incorrect.

My suggestion is to use the same informatin that is on your drivers license and auto insurance.

That way there will be consistancy.

Did you do the -xxxx after your zip ? that could be the problem .

Your fine...The SoF uses PostalSoft software which correlates with the USPS Zip lookup web site. Many Cities have over lapping zip codes. Your correct City address is FT LAUDERDALE, FL. , as Glock23-4-Me has already pointed out. Congrats!
