Pocket carry, no holster

Does anyone here now or in the past pocket carry without a holster?

I now pocket carry a Ruger LC9S Pro with a lasermax in Mika or Desantis holster. I wear jeans a great deal and draw is a bit difficult because of the the way the pockets are cut.

I am thinking about getting a LCP Max and going without a holster. Yes I know one of the basic rules is that the trigger should always be covered, so please no lecture on safety.

I am looking for responses from people that either now or in the past carried without a holster. What are your thoughts about why you did or are now carrying this way.

I have a pocket holster I got at a gun show for 5$ a very loooong time ago . It fit's in a jacket pocket very well have only used it a few times .The Centinnial model S&W 5 rounds are not enough ammo when a compact 9 carries 12 or15 rounds.in the same size gun .

I occasionally carry a J-frame in my coat/parka pocket unholstered in cold weather. It's hand-on-gun in the parking lot, gas pump, etc. That 13-lb DAO trigger isn't going to be doing anything untoward in the meantime.

Might consider some pants that are more conducive to pocket carry than jeans.
And/or utilize a method other than pocket carry for your primary when its a option.

You could always get one of these and wear a Scottish Kilt.

It's not just a matter of safety... but, yeah... safety!

It's also a matter of the orientation of the gun (grip up). A pocket holster keeps the gun oriented properly - it won't spin around in your pocket. In the moment of need, grabbing a handful of muzzle or slide will be... no bueno. You want to reach in and ALWAYS (and naturally) find the grip.

I can pocket carry a S&W 642 or a Colt Pony Pocketlite in my jeans pockets in proper holsters without issue... comfortably and easily. I would suggest different jeans. FWIW, I get the "loose fit" jeans.

P32 in my wallet pocket in a Mike's holster....surprise..too many things can go wrong in an accident or something poking into the trigger guard...
