Pocket carry, no holster

Does anyone here now or in the past pocket carry without a holster?

I now pocket carry a Ruger LC9S Pro with a lasermax in Mika or Desantis holster. I wear jeans a great deal and draw is a bit difficult because of the the way the pockets are cut.

I am thinking about getting a LCP Max and going without a holster. Yes I know one of the basic rules is that the trigger should always be covered, so please no lecture on safety.

I am looking for responses from people that either now or in the past carried without a holster. What are your thoughts about why you did or are now carrying this way.

Don’t think you’ll find many here who carried without a holster?
Thread title scares me. 😎🫣
I have never pocket carried but, I have seen those little “trigger holsters” that just cover the trigger. Maybe that’s an option.

I would, on ocassion, carry a lw 5 shot model 36/39 or my 60 DA revo/s with a Berami hip grip without a holster front and center when working UC in the combat zone red light district in Boston.

The girls were fond of running their hands all over your body trying to get you to buy them a drink. One of the places they didn't grope you [ at least not then ] was the groin area.

Of course all bets were off once you bought them a drink and they invited you to a "table" that wasn't as well lit. Then they'd discover it in short order. The game was to not buy them a drink or get up to move to a table when armed [ and I was never not armed in those bars ].

Try a “Sticky Holster”. Easier to draw from than bare pocket and much safer. (y)

I will admit I did it in the past, many many years ago, pocket carry a S&W 640 .357, 2” snub pocket carry without a holster. Not sure of my options back then on pocket carry holsters like the DeSantis, but the gun is a double action only with about a 12# trigger pull so I wasn’t overly concerned back then but would not elect to do that today with holsters designed for it and nothing else in that pocket. I do pocket carry a Kahr cw .380 often but always with a DeSantis holster and nothing else in that pocket.

I don’t like wearing jeans for pocket carry as draw is very restrictive due to the pockets.

YMMV.

I've never pocket carried, never even considered it, much less w/o a holster, but then I've never had a problem carrying even full size 1911s. I'm not a big guy, but have always dressed around the gun. YMMV!

I’ll carry my wife’s air weight in my pocket, no holster, for a quick ride to the corner store & have my TCP in my back pocket a few times. Definitely a rare occurrence. If you shoot your self with either of those two, by accident, you shouldn’t be carrying.

Surprisingly I have three different pocket holsters for the same sidearm!

Different pants have the pockets cut differently and I found that having the holster for the pocket worked better than just using a single holster that kind of sort of fit right.

I rarely pocket carry but every now and then it's needed.

I can barely get my hands in my pockets, let alone a gun. Pit fall of women’s jeans/pants

442 on occasion. Just make damn sure nothing goes in that pocket.
MIC TRIGGER GUEARD.
Glock 42 when I had it and now my Glock 43 if I just tuck it in my waistband running to the store or walking the dogs late at night.
Now, 99.9% of the time I just carry my Kimber Micro in a OWB holster.
