Looking for pitbull puppy , my dog has just turned 12 and is over weight so I want a replacement dog to train up in a good home . Need male no mixed breed, house with large lot fenced dog will have a great life no fighting or anything like that just PM me or reply here .

I talked to a breeder "UKC" with 2 litters coming up on gooddog.com and my wallet would take a bigger hit than planed . If I don't find one before his are ready I'll probably just take the hit and keep the price a closely guarded secret from my family just like the two Les Baer Custom 1911's

I got Riley (mini dachshund) from a private breeder in Macon, GA that I negotiated through Gooddog.com
Price: $900, and I picked him up. (Which, was no big deal since I have family in Jacksonville and could double-dip).
The puppy-mill price in South Florida starts at $2700, with private breeders not far behind (if you can find them and they have pups).

I suspect the breed matters a lot. American Staffordshire Terriers ("pit bulls") probably command a higher price, especially if they are eligible for AKC registration.
That wasn't important to me (it just goes to their little heads anyway) , so I was able to get a healthy dog for a lot less.

I only had that one transaction on Gooddog, but it was a positive one (FWIW).

FWIW, some of the names I discarded for my latest pup were:

Cornbread
Lug Nut
Rhyolite, and
Rayleigh

I settled on "Riley Five Miles".
That way I can tell everyone I walk five miles every day.
