Some "topless" photos of this build. How sexy is that RSA channel? Rook Tactical has promised me they are working on some gold TiN-coated rails. When they're available, I'll swap out the stainless for gold! Will look awesome here.

Safety tests, including drop testing - COMPLETE! PASSED!

I just threw on some spare sights while I wait for the Tyrant Designs sights to arrive. Laser sighted it in. Might have to go to the range to test fire today!

I was having an issue with the Tyrant Designs slide stop lever not having any "spring" to it. If I pushed it up, it stayed in the up position. The spring wasn't returning it back down. So, I removed it and noticed the spring was over-closed when I compared it to an original spare slide stop I had (on top in photo). So, I bent the spring to match the curve and angle of the standard lever spring (as best I could with the tools at hand), and PRESTO! It works!

Just got back from the range. Goldie's first shots... Shot #1 - 100... Flawless! Not a single malfunction! Woohoooo!

Also put 100 more rounds through Build #2 (black G19) clone. Also, not a single malfunction.
I still haven't benched it, so I don't know if it's me (probably) or the gun / sights.

The only issue is the trigger safety dingus on the Tyrant Designs trigger. The corner is sharp and creates a "hot spot" (aka pain) on the finger after shooting a number of rounds. So, I'm going to try to round that off.

With me, it's not consistent. Sometimes I shoot low-left with them. Other times I don't. Here's the interesting part... When I'm NOT using the sights - target focused - I don't shoot low-left.

Some miscellaneous pics. I go through a "protocol" with first shots in a build.

Load one round in mag. Rack / chamber round. Fire. Check for slide lockback.

Load 2 rounds in mag. Rack / chamber round. Fire 1. Fire 2. (making sure it doesn't go "full auto") Check for slide lockback.

Load 3 rounds in mag. Rack / chamber round. Fire 1. Fire 2. Fire 3. (making sure it doesn't go "full auto") Check for slide lockback.

If all is well... load a full mag and fire all rounds.

Good to go if:

1. All rounds load / chamber properly.
2. Slide cycles properly.
3. All empty shells eject properly.
4. All rounds fired as singles (and hit the target!).
5. Slide locks back on empty magazine.

Then I put the gun down, step out of the shooting lane booth, and do this:
