Finally launched the "Gold Dazzle" project today!
Pre-build mock-up:

Today I drilled the holes, tried in the (gold) pins, and removed the rail tabs:

![Brown Sleeve Font Eyewear Personal protective equipment]()
Top view of tab removal. The frame is gray, which is why you see that color under the cerakote paint job.
I still have to remove the recoil spring channel tab.

Tried in the Rook rails. Had to do a bit of smithing on one of the rear rails to get rid of a small "shiny crescent." After that, it all went together. Tried the slide on (without the barrel, since the channel tab is still there). Like buttah! Took a quick pic, too.

Internet service was down for several hours, so I went to work at the Freedom Bench to get this Independence Day party started right! Build a gun! Well.. continue building it! The only thing left to do on the frame was to remove the Recoil Spring Assembly channel block and polish.

This is my 3rd build, and I'm still going WAY over the claimed (by politicians) 30 - 60 minutes to "slap it together like Legos!"Looking good!
I probably spent 2 - 3 hours on just the channel block removal and polish.
