The top (blue) one is not bad. Highly modified frame. But it was nicely done.

Threw away the POS cheap E Bay slip on rubber grip on the Polymer 80 and installed a Talon Grip. Much better.

Talon grips are the way to go, plus they look good.

I like the Talon grips. They're effective (improving grip) without being unobtrusively thick and without changing the shape of the grip.

Much better than the bulky slip on type. The rubber will be a lot easier on the side if I carry it. Hope it lasts a while.....How long have you had it on your most used firearm?

Gosh... not sure... a long time. I've had the rubber version on my EDC G27 for years.

Yeah... I have the "granulate" (skateboard tape) Talon grip on my G23 for MANY years. It was the first Talon grip I ever bought. It's got to be well over 10 years. But, I've never carried it. And, it would be rough on skin or fabric, I think.

But, with this grip, the gun will NOT slip around in your hand - even if wet. Good for a home defense weapon, I think... which this gun was for me - my first designated "home defense" gun.

I wouldn't call that "blue gun blue." Never minding that the slide, trigger and other controls are obviously functional on the real gun... Whereas, the "blue gun" is obviously a solid piece of plastic.

I finally got the ODG G17 frame. It went from Pennsylvania to Puerto Rico before arriving in Florida! It took TWO weeks for the postal service to get it here.

Soooo.... Now I've got photos of the actual frames with the actual slide for comparison. I think it's a tough call as to which is "better."

Though, I might be leaning towards the ODG at the moment. Subject to change!

I recently completed my 2nd build - a G19 clone. Had a couple of (failure to feed) hiccups at the range during the first live fire testing, but successful overall. I believe that issue is already fixed.

I've got a few kits that I can build next, but I think this is going to be the next one. I wanna be the "man with the golden gun!"

These parts for it are inbound. It's going to be another "Gucci" build, I suppose!

Some goodies arrived today. I'm "gittin' while the gittin's good."

This is a Glock 17L slide (Titanium Blue) semi-custom "duo-tone" and barrel from Zaffiri. My first ported barrel. They're slated to go on a Titanium Blue 940V2 (G17) frame. I'll get a "mock-up" photo of it on the frame when I get home tonight.

This is a "semi-custom" cerakoted PF45 frame (can be G20 or G21 clone). Called "Bronze Bottomland." Don't know what slide / hardware I'll put on it, yet.

Alrighty! Here's the "mock-up!" I'm diggin' it! The cerakote matches the Titanium Blue frame pretty much exactly! What do you think?? Future G17L build.
