So, 80PBuilders.com sent me an email sales flyer, and I couldn't resist. I've had a FDE color G17 frame sitting in the wings with no immediate plans for it. Then I saw this:

Ah, hell! I think that "multicam" slide would look good on my FDE frame!

I ordered it with the black nitride coated barrel. I think it will make for a nice build!

Now, I've just got to finish build #2 (G19) before starting this one! I've been on a bit of a break from building. Build #2:

So, my "dilemma" will be which frame will look best with the multi-cam slide? ODG or FDE? I'll take some mock-up photos with each, once I have all the pieces in my hot hands.

I think it will look awesome with either one.

The multicam slide and barrel were $310. So, the total build cost on this is going to be quite economical. "Famous last words!"

I'm leaning that way when I see it in my head. We'll see what the mock-ups look like.

I still have to finish build #2! I've been procrastinating... just haven't felt inspired to sit at the bench and do it. It's 90% done.

While I anxiously await the arrival the slide and barrel, I cobbled together a very crude photoshop "mock-up" from website photos.

Ha! True about FN's proclivity for "Tutti-frutti FDE!"

OK... this is pretty bad-ass, too. Looks better than I expected! I have an ODG frame on the way. So, I can go either way.

It will be interesting to mock them up "in the flesh." Of course, I'll take photos and post. But, the photoshop was a fun exercise.
