Ah, screw it. In light of the sudden appearance of a dubious entity, I thought I'd try to delete this thread. The forum wouldn't let me, limiting me to 7 edits per weeks. Odd. No matter... I decided to forge ahead. Come get me.

Very Nice I have been hinking about doing one myself.
Have you thought about which model you'd like to build?

This one will be a G34.

You might consider buying a P80 frame sooner rather than later. A lot of online retailers are having good sales right now. I'm wondering if there's a reason they're dumping inventory. Hmmmmm.

Ahhhhhh ...we are not talking "budget restricted" when you select this fine barrel !
It was a similar decision when my Subaru STI engine "done blowed up."

Rebuild it back to factory spec?

Aw, hellz no! Build it BETTER! Stronger. Faster.

If I'm going to build a gun, I'm going to BUILD a GUN!

Yet, you still haven’t built it.

Well, no... it's not finished. I've got the tabs off. I've drilled the holes. Next is the channel. I should have it close to finished, if not finished over this long weekend.

I was thinking of a G21, but just checked their website and they are out of everything.
Which website? There are tons of sales going on now for P80 frames. Many in the $99 range.

Went to their main page. Guess I'll look around again. You are not helping my Discover card 🤣
Yeah... Polymer80.com is out of everything. But there are TONS of frames available at good prices all over the place. $99 - $110 range.

Tonight I carved out the recoil spring channel. The whole time I was laughing at the BULL**** spewed by Biden saying, "All you have to do is get a kit, and in half an hour, you've got a gun!" LOLOLOLOL!

I spent at least a few hours JUST on the channel.

I shall now bear my Dremeling soul.

One comment... the aftermarket flex-shaft... it's a POS. The run-out is horrible. Any diamond or other rotary instrument I put in there wobbles like crazy when I turn on the Dremel. Directly in the Dremel... no wobble. The collet / chuck is not concentric. At all. It's quite horrible. To the point of unusable.

Some photos. I ended up with a gouge - letting the green point dwell on one point for too long. Tried to polish it out as best I could.

I used the Ergo Mast to hold the frame so I could use both hands to steady the Dremel.

Ah... the word on the street is that the P45 parts are scarce right now. So, you may be able to get a frame now. But, parts may be slow coming.
