In Nevada or Arizona you can drive up in the middle of the desert away from humanity and start shooting your guns at milk jugs or empty bottles. Is there a remote place here in Florida or near Miami where one can just go and setup a make shift range and blow some steam?

Years ago you could go out into the unincorporated ares of the county and shoot. You had to be so many yards away from the road and couldn't shoot across the road. We used to go into the woods and find a clearing and set up targets but that was some years past. Don't know if you can do that now.

I would love to hear about an area in St. Johns county where you could do that.

When I was growing up on the north side of Jacksonville in the '70s I had areas that I could go shoot like that but not any more.
