I live out of the State of Florida. Just received my Florida CCW renewal package. Local Police here will do the fingerprint card...no problem. My question may seem obvious, but I never assume anything when dealing with state agencys. There is a separate envelope for the fingerprint card. It has the same address as where I send the renewal app (Box 6387 Talahassee). Is it OK to bundle the fingerprint card with the initial renewal application? Thanks.

You don’t need a new fingerprint, just a new photo and application.

I know that I’ve not needed fingerprint work on any of my renewals; but thought maybe it was different for nonresident CWLs. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Found it. Looks like out of state has to provide fingerprints.

11)(a) At least 90 days before the expiration date of the license, the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services shall mail to each licensee a written notice of the expiration and a renewal form prescribed by the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services. The licensee must renew his or her license on or before the expiration date by filing with the Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services the renewal form containing an affidavit submitted under oath and under penalty of perjury stating that the licensee remains qualified pursuant to the criteria specified in subsections (2) and (3), a color photograph as specified in paragraph (5)(e), and the required renewal fee. Out-of-state residents must also submit a complete set of fingerprints and fingerprint processing fee. The license shall be renewed upon receipt of the completed renewal form, color photograph, appropriate payment of fees, and, if applicable, fingerprints

Thanks, Bob! I thought I'd read that in 790.06 before but kept reading past that text in 790.06(11)(a).

Surprised I didn’t pick it up before and was wrong about not needing it. Learn something everyday.
