Repost, but it's still pretty cool. Too bad it's considered an SBR.
True, but as long as you're willing to jump through the federal hoops, it'd still be possible to get one. My instructor has a nice AR-platform SBR that could conceivably be concealed under a light jacket.

Now, I believe there'd be an issue if it was actually full auto under FOPA, however.

Like someone else said, a repost. I think I posted the link to info about the ARES FMG that was designed in the mid- to late-80's in the earlier thread on the Magpul gun.

The ARES had a version or modification that would allow a small AM/FM radio (with the old telescoping antenna) to be attached, to make it appear to be an older style portable radio. Kinda goofy now, in the era of micro-sized mp3 players and multi-media cell phones, but not too crazy back then.

I'm not sure what the licensing and regulation issues would be. Like deadeye said, it'd be considered a SBR. If it's full auto, I don't think a civilian could buy it because of FOPA, which limits full auto weapons made after May of 1986 to military, law enforcement, and Class 3 dealers.

Okay, checked Magpul's site, and they pretty much say everything I said in this .pdf document.
