My husband and I have completed our requirements for our concealed licenses and have mailed our applications to Tallahassee today.

We are glad this forum is specific to Florida.

Is it normal to want to go to the range all of the time now? Wow, this is almost as addicting as chocolate! :laughing

Welcome Mamabearto2. I hope you enjoy the site. We are all trying to learn something from one another. What do you shoot when at the range? Must be pretty sweet to want to say it is better than chocolate.

all is fine until you find yourself using google image search to look at gun porn at 3 am and comparing the curves of your firearms to other newer, younger ones... :bangel

I appear to be a Ruger girl

It wasn't intentional but when I put the S&W 642 .38 revolver in my hand something just didn't feel quite right. It was at a different gun range that I was handed the Ruger SP101 and it felt just perfect for me.

I purchased that gun and had been target shooting with the .38 but knew that I wanted a smaller carry gun so within a month I was back to the research board. I read all about the .22 and .380 but then kept looking twice at photos of the Ruger LCP .380 auto. After handling the Kel-Tec I did the brave thing and bought the Ruger LCP without ever handling one. I have to say that little gem is just right for me. I can hit the center and 9 circle most of the time at 20 feet. It does appear that I'm indeed a Ruger girl at this time.

Realistically, I'm wondering how I would ever carry a .38 and be able to hide it sufficiently enough. I'm small and do not wear baggy clothes so practically it would be a challenge for me. I've tried on different holsters at the gun shops and the LCP is much easier to conceal. I guess since we just mailed off our applications I have time to research holsters. Obviously, I don't carry yet.

Thank you for your welcomes.

ps - While nothing will take the place of chocolate this is running a very close second. Maybe one day I'll be good enough to shoot with one hand and eat chocolate with the other. Sweet.
