I was trying to post this in the licence portion but I did not have posting rights,

Anyways

Myself and my brotherinn law both live in NY about 10 minutes apart in diffant towns , We applied to florida as a non resident on Jan 12th of 09 our checks were cashed Feb 12th My brother in law got his in the mail yesterday his says it was issued on 4/28 I have not gotton mine yet. but I did call them today and they said mine was printed on 05/01/09 is printing date differant then issue date, could it be just a delay in the mail.

The lady I spoke to on the phone said only call back if i dont recive my licence with inn the next 20 work days,20 work days is actually 4 weeks

Welcome misunderestimated.

Yes, there's a difference between issue date and printing date. There seems to be a delay of several days between when the license is "issued" (really meaning approved) and when it clears through the printing backlog. There'll be another delay between when it's printed and when it finally goes out in the mail.

Thank You all for the warm welcome. I got my licence in the mail today.

On the permit it says issused 4/23/09 (I am almost sure my brother in laws was the same date as he said 28 but his eyes are not that good) so it was issud on 4/23 was told it was printed on 5/1 the post mark on the envolope says 5/4

my picture looks terible but I am thriled to have it.

Congratulations! Licenses are a good thing to get in the mail.

Now about that picture - you say it's terrible? but you submitted it? Ok, I'm just getting snarky with you. I don't know that anyone here is actually pleased with their pictures, they seem to turn out darker than what we submitted. BUT, it is close enough for government work and it is good for 7 years so put it to good use.

Well I guess that what I really look like so I have to deal with it.

I am from Rockland county NY about 40 minutes north of NYC

I have been vacationing in the tampa bay area (clearwater)for the last 12 years,and just recently have a relitive re-locate from NY to the orlando area. in the area that you cant drive more then 5 minutes on a highway with out having to pay a toll

i was just wondering my mom's home town is herkimer NY but that is near utica.

i lived in mass. and would go up to lake george for the americade motorcycle
rally. i miss the mountains but not the cold.
