I submitted my paper work on Jan 7 2009 and finally got my CCW permit in the begining of May.

I selected my carry gun after some research and recommendations from friends; a Kimber Ultra carry II CDP

and I finally got my holster in from Little Bear (sweet.....Thank Dave).

Now I'm ready to carry, legally and in a concealed manner.

I have 1 question to those that have been carrying for a while. what happens if the weapon prints and a LEO see's it. How much trouble can this be....

welcome to the forum. printing is not illegal in florida. the only thing the statute says is

790.001 Definitions
(2) "Concealed firearm" means any firearm, as defined in subsection (6), which is carried on or about a person in such a manner as to conceal the firearm from the ordinary sight of another person.

as long as you are not carrying the gun inside a pair of spandex then you are probably okay. I have been in the presence of multiple LEO and no one has ever said anything and you can see that I have something on my side (owb).

Welcome aboard!

Everyone worries about printing at first, believe it or not though, if you really walked around and tried to spot other people who are carrying, its tougher than you think. So people who aren't looking for it on purpose REALLY won't notice!

Welcome.

Don't worry too much about printing. AS already pointed it it isn't illegal though it is something you should avoid.

When I get dressed to go out I stand in front of a mirror and check for printing while bending and moving around. I raise my arms to make sure the shirt still covers the weapon. If all looks well then I go out without worrying about printing. After doing this a few times you will know which of your shirts work well and which ones you need to avoid.
