Hello guys,
I am new here and new to guns.
I was not a big fan of guns for a while, but it seems like since this economy thing is about to hit the fan, criminals are out.

I applied for the CCw at a gun show back on Nov 30, and I order a Taurus PT92 online. after I am more familiar with it I plan on ordered a better gun.
anyways, that is a little about me.:drinks

Welcome. Dont be disappointed with the time it takes to get the permit. I just got mine at the end of October. I took a full 3 months even with the electronic fingerprinting.

Welcome, Rog. Do you plan on taking your gun to the range and getting really familiar with it? You should. Since you're not an experienced shooter you should plan on becoming one before you start carrying.

Welcome Rog. Spend a lot of time at the range and carrying around your house to get used to carrying concealed. Oh, and don't be afraid to come to this site and ask questions. :thumsup

You may hear a lot of debate about the quality (or lack thereof) of Taurus firearms, but there's nothing wrong at all with the PT92...they've been manufacturing that model for decades, so I'm pretty sure they've got it right by now. FWIW, I have a Taurus PT1911 and it works just fine. :thumsup

Yeah, I did a lot of resarch on this specific model, I was going to get the 1911 but the reviews were better on the 92, plus i did not want to spend too much on my first gun.
