Hi guys,

I am new here and I have a question about the timeline after my check is cashed.
My check was cashed a couple of days ago and today got this message checking my status:

"We have received your application, and it is currently being processed. You should be aware that by law our division has 90 days from the date on which we receive a complete application to either issue a license or deny the application."

How long does it takes to the license be issued?

Thank you!

Welcome from Jacksonville. Lately, it seems to be taking somewhere between 2-4 weeks.

Welcome to FCC from Palm Beach County! :wave

If you're a veteran (hint, hint, more introduction needed), they'll fast track you application and some vets have received it back inside of a week. However, as AFJuvat posted, 2-4 weeks seems to be the norm lately for regular processing.

Welcome from Winter Springs/ Oviedo.
Welcome to FCC from Palm Beach County, abe181275! :wave

However, since this was your first post to FCC, where is your own Introduction thread?
Now would be a good time to also go back and post you're own so the members get to know you. You can do that by going to the Introduce Yourself section of The Front Office and start your very own introduction thread. Then you'll find that lots of other FCC members will know to chime in to properly welcome you to the forum, too and will be more responsive in answering questions!

In case you weren't aware, you can stay current on pertinent Florida Statutes regarding use of force and firearms law by going right to the source using these links for Chapter 776 - Justifiable Use of Force and Chapter 790 - Weapons and Firearms. I'd also like to suggest you obtain your own copy of FLORIDA FIREARMS Law, Use & Ownership by Jon Gutmacher!

Finally, I would like to recommend you consider joining Florida Carry and join the effort to protect the rights of Floridians to keep and bear arms!

Again, welcome to FCC! :grin
