I traded an AR-15 and a Glock 19 for a car, and in the trade I got a new in the box Glock 26. I know the previous owner, he has never shot it. The wife went to the range with her family and I sent the G26 with her to try. I have never fired the weapon. Wife had six jams in two mags. She was using WWB, same as I have shot in plenty of my other Glocks.

She was at Basics, and Franklin suspected it needed to be lubed it seemed like the spent cartridge would not eject, and get slammed back into the new round. I took it apart and cleaned it. Seemed a little dry, I lubed it up and put it back together again. I'll take it out next week and report back. Just a bit depressing that the weapon failed so miserably. The wife's SCCY was flawless through 200 rounds.

On another positive note, wife took advantage of the offer Basics has, take your Mom shooting for free. So she, her mom, sister, and her niece all went. Three generations of girls going bang. They had a great time. Franklin was nice as ever, and even offered to help in any way he could. Greatly appreciated Franklin, aces my friend.

Gen 3 or 4? I have a g4 19 and 26. The 19 had two stove pipes in the first three mags, and not a hiccup since (over 2K rounds fired).

I've run a little over 300 through the 26, using freedom target ammo and multiple defensive loads without a single stoppage. Both were out of the box, and not cleaned or lubed until 300 rounds.

You say your wife was shooting? My only guess is that she was limp-wristing it. Pure speculation on my part since I don't know of how she shoots but I know that will jam 'em.

Gen 3. Franklin was on the range with her and didn't say anything bad about her grip or stance. I thought about that too. And here is the car I got.

'97 Mazda Miata, really good shape, nice interior and audio, and a very good running car. I sold the other white miata in the background, that car was really rough.

Not necessarily anything wrong with the grip/stance. It's what happens when the trigger is pulled. I'm not surprised at some FTEs with a new-to-the-shooter G26. See it happen in classes all the time.

Limp-wristing is a poor term for the phenomena. Gotta keep that wrist straight through the recoil cycle with those little beasties.

G26s never changed the spring. It's been a dual spring of the same weight since the mid 90s

a little odd that no one else tried the gun to determine if the user was causing the issue...weve seen it in training multiple times...what you see and what is happening may be 2 very different situations...

It's the only one I've heard to describe it. What would be a better choice? You know I loves me some learnin'! :grin

Have you inspected extractor and ejector? Can you now load a spent case into it and rack slide to see if it pops out?
The mini Glocks sometimes break either one and that can possibly cause your issue? Mostly on the .40s though so I may agree with the others. Give it another try and have someone else run a few thru it to see if it's the gun or the user.
