Pics will be up soon.

Went to the range the other day with John Hatcher who brought his brand new S&W M&P9c. I brought my G23. Shot his not thinking it would be as accurate as my G23 but the M&P is deadly accurate! After shooting the M&P I had to have one, I never looked at the Glock the same way after that. Sold it and got the 9c. What a pistol.

All firearms are more accurate than humanly possible [ thats why they use ransom rest mechanical devices to determine intrinsic accuracy of a firearm ].

I hold one cloverleaf hole with any of my glocks out to 15 feet standing unsupported and don't see the need for any more accuracy than that in any pistol designed for combat on the street myself.

I don't buy SD guns for their accuracy potential but for their reliability first. You shot the S+W more accurately because there was less recoil in the 9mm than your 40 S+W and the grip probably fit your hand better, not because the gun is intrinsically more accurate than your glock.

Boost_Junkie,

I didn't want the general membership to believe the S+W is more accurate than another gun [ in this case the S+W you bought ] based on your original post. That's how rumors get started and continued on the net which could affect someone's decision to purchase one gun over another.

I'm glad you like and shoot your S+W better than the glock. Good luck with it.

I could have worded better, heck both guns will more accurate than I'll ever be. I've just been through so many different pistols and I think I found the one that suits be best.

Nice

I like the natural cant of the MP... it is more like the 1911.
The thing I like is they have really started to make the triggers much better.
The first run that came out needed over 500 rounds to have a nice feel.
If things get back on track, i want the 45c or the 45 longslide....

Congrats on the new piece... I know you will enjoy it.

My nephew has both M&P full size and compact and is thinking about the 5", all in 9mm. He swears by them. My neighbor is a retired NYPD and has owned many handguns and also is in love with his M&P 9C. I've not read any problems except some mag drops but I think they got that worked out.

Boost_Junkie, this sound like an example of the old saying "75% of accurate shooting is the gun and the other 90% is the psychology of the shooter"

I too have a Glock (26) and an M&P (.40 FS) and while I love the Glock, the M&P is just an incredibly nice shooting, super accurate pistol that fits the hand like a glove. I can definitely see having a M&P 9c somewhere down the road. -Frank
