Hey guys,

A close friend of my is getting ready to send in his application. I don't know the specifics, as to what type of prints he's sending or the type of check. I was wondering how long its taking nowadays?

His course instructor told him 5 months but I found that hard to believe. Am I wrong?

It will take about 3 months give or take a few weeks.

From the reports we've been seeing in here, it's running 80 days plus from mailbox to mailbox, with a few bad experiences.

87 days and counting for me.. Mailed app. on Nov. 10th

It looks like the DOA are still trying to deliver licenses on time. Just make sure that all the required documentation is in the packet. Don't give them a reason to
slow down the process for you.

The DOA needs to think about updating their CCW laws if they start regularly falling behind the 90 day to issue or notify "law"..

790.06 License to carry concealed weapon or firearm.--

Subsection 6
(c) The Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services shall, within 90 days after the date of receipt of the items listed in subsection (5):

1. Issue the license; or

2. Deny the application.....
