Funny...this was tried a number of years back in the Washington Shores neighborhood...with similar results.

Two cars blocked a guys car as he tried to pull out of a parking lot...he ducked down (the perps had already drawn and were preparing to shoot) and opened fire through the windows...he was OK...the perps hauled ass. Guess they weren't expecting armed resistance...as in this case as well...

Glad in both situations the "victim" was armed.

:clap good situational awareness and defensive shooting. Even though it might be more comfortable to off body carry in a vehicle, I think my draw is faster when I carry IWB while driving. I do sit in the truck and practice drawing. You never know when this situation can happen to you too.

i didnt notice the shots. i thought i only fires 2 or 3 times but i fires 12 times

Interesting and consistent with what I have read on this topic.

I carry a 6 shot revolver with the thinking that it would be sufficient for the typical self defense scenario, however having a full magazine with 12-15 rounds might have made all the deference in your SD scenario.

:rolf it was a funny call i can tell you that. i just had to pay the deductible and they fixed the car good as new.

Warning shots are not legal and would entail liability should a bystander be injured. However, it is legal to use deadly force to prevent a carjacking. Next time please stop the threat.
