Roger that. Shockwave is 5+1 (or 8+1 with the minishells).capacity is 6+1 on that one
My Mossberg 590 A1 Persuader has a longer magazine tube giving it an 8+1 capacity with 2 3/4 shot shells. It also has a heat shield and a bayonet lug making it look sort of like a Winchester 1897 (M97) Trench Gun. Would be cool to get an M1917 bayonet for it but. . . 🤠Looks like the 590 has a longer magazine, as well. What is the capacity?

That looks sweet! Just looked it up... a competition gun. 24-inch barrel - not really designed for defense, eh? But, I'm sure it could serve as such.5+1... 8+1????
My Mossberg 940 JM Pro is 9+1(with std 2.75" shells).

Yeah, I would not use it for SD. That would be my Shockwave, if anything. I would use it for clay practice and if I ever went hunting. That looks sweet! Just looked it up... a competition gun. 24-inch barrel - not really designed for defense, eh? But, I'm sure it could serve as such.
Yup, the 24 in.barrel allows a longer mag tube to accommodate 9+1 capacity, which is nice for a competician gun, but having a barrel 4 in. shorter, I like the 590A1 Persuader for HD much better. YMMV 🤠That looks sweet! Just looked it up... a competition gun. 24-inch barrel - not really designed for defense, eh? But, I'm sure it could serve as such.
My 20" Ithaca 37 featherweight in 12 Ga. Slam fire capable made approximately 1980. I've owned it since 1981 NIB.5+1... 8+1????

Model 12, I believe. I had one..smooth as silkFirst shot gun I hog hunted with was a borrowed Ithaca that would slam fire. Wasn’t there a Winchester that would do that also?
If memory serves, that was discussed on here a while back as Winchester 1897 (M97) and Model 12 shotguns were slam-fire capable, but perhaps there were others.First shot gun I hog hunted with was a borrowed Ithaca that would slam fire. Wasn’t there a Winchester that would do that also?
Or LE use. I recall the first time I saw Jack Webb use one to apprehend a BG in Dragnet. Because the BG was known to possess a sawed-off shotgun and to sleep with it undercover in bed, they felt it appropriate to match arms. So they checked out a 12G Ithaca and then 5 rounds of 12G magnum load, 00-Buck.That's a great HD gun!![]()
