Going to get a Mossberg 500 but torn between these two colors. I really like the sand camo but I am not over in the Middle East. The sand camo seems to be a popular seller.

So I figured I would get some valued opinions from you guys. Thanks.

I personally have 2 that are black, but if I were to get another it would be Desert Camo, also want a sniper rifle in the same. Of course I have been on a desert camo kick recently, not sure why.... :rolf

I shot a 3-Gun match the other day and predictably, the zombie slayers were all packing their Molle-compatible, desert tan gear. One guy had a nice 1911 and AR that were all done up in Duracoat tacticool desert camo, so I asked him if he was in the military or a contractor. When he said no, I asked him why he didn't do his gear in a green camo, since he lives in Florida.

His reply? "Hmmm, good point." :rolf

Mossberg 500..Desert Camo or black?

Pick the one YOU like, it doesn't matter what we like.

Naturally I know it doesn't matter what you guys like but I still wanted opinions on the camo.

FWIW, a store 'droid told us that juries tend to think better of people who shoot someone with an obvious "hunting gun" in camo colors. If you're using a black gun, it's obviously evil, which is the origin of the whole EBR thing (Evil Black Rifle).

Which, as certain as the afternoon thunderstorms, leads to: a "Hello Kitty" AR-15

I think if the typical anti-gun nut sees this, they try to mix "cute" and "evil assault rifle" until their head explodes. :D

Bob, My 30-30 is evil black [ actually dark blued ]. It's never going to be considered an evil balck rifle by anyone with a lick of sense or a good atty who would squash in a trial.

Everyone's got an opinion, but a store droid isn't one I'd be listening to for legal advice in this regard. Otherwise, I'd think I'd need to camo my 30-30 lever Winny to protect myself from such nonsense.

Take into concideration this is Florida. If it were me, I would go for pink. That way when you have to crawl the yard it will blend in with the Flamingos.
