Found me the Mossberg 590 "Persuader" (model 50693) Defensive Shotgun I've been jonesing about for months; synthetic stock, 20 in. cylinder bore barrel w/heatshield, 8+1 mag tube, bayonet mount, fluorescent blade front sight, ghost ring rear sight. She's a beauty, recent manufacture, even still wet with oil. This should do nicely for Bob's Defensive Shotgun course in Feb.

Hold on just a garwsh-darned second, now! Isn't that one of them there super-assault weapons?

It's all black. And that heat shield... It's got bunches of little holes in it! Well that's just meant for killin', and don't nobody need that!

Plus it's got one of them shoulder things that goes up? I can't point it out, but I know it's there! And, that military-grade pump foregrip is just for killin', too.

What kind of monster needs all that???

On top of all that it has a ghost ring rear sight so clearly it's a "ghost gun". Probably leaves those "police badge" firing pin markings all over the bullets too.

Very nice sir. I have a similar one that I acquired about twenty years ago. Had it in the safe along with everything else and I had a tub of damp rid on the top shelf to help absorb any moisture. This was before I purchased or even knew about the dehumidifiers that are electric. Well one day I opened the safe and to my horror, the tub had somehow leaked the water it had absorbed right down onto the shot gun and a mini 14. Both got pretty rusted spots on the barrel. I about vomited when I saw what had happened. Needless to say the 🤬ing tub of damp rid went into the trash and I have tried in vain to clean up both guns as best I could.

I’ll be using mine for Bob’s class in February. (y)

Good luck with that one sir. Looks like you got a great score. (y)

I gave my Shockwave to my older brother as a b-day gift this past summer.
Might have been nice to take that to Bob's class?

That said, I see they have a new Shockwave ""590-S" or something like that.
Still, since I hardly ever shot the first one, I guess there's no point in getting another one.
For that matter, I still have to put first shells through the new TS-12.
At the rate I am going, Bob's class might be the first opportunity for that.

You should enlist the help of AFJuvat to get that shortie and Mini-14 cleaned up. He's a master at restoring guns to like new condition. Just ask Caleb. (y)

You have one great weapon to protect your home.
President PUPPET BOY said more then once that a shotgun is all you need and if someone comes banging on your door at night, to just shoot them through the door.
OR*****
Just go out on your balcony and shoot a few into the air.
You and your family will be safe from now on
**OH!
Congratulations on that excellent find.
It looks great.

MSRP is $545 as configured, but I've seen them listed for $519. I got it for even less than that.

Yep, he uses some type of wizardry and gets them near new looking.
