This For those of you reloaders that may happen to have one of these . This Post should shed some light on the weak point of the 'Plastic' ratchet used to index the dies properly .

Well I did have some more of these 'junkers' on order . But I thought what could I do to change the constant reordering of these small square things with the hole in the center .

Possibly reasoning some reverse engineering and so far a great fix ! So I took the [ 4 ] dies off the top at one time and it exposes the metal indexing post , this connecting the plastic 'ratchet' near the bottom, naturally under the aluminum die plate above .

Ok , here comes my Fix , I lifted that aluminum post up and out of the worn 'Indexing' Ratchet . This Still Housed inside of the plastic surround . Then I took narrow strips of Tape & carefully wrapped the bottom of that post and entered it back into the now worn plastic 'ratchet' hole .

Yes The Tape increases the diameter to Fill up the worn internal square diameter of the 'ratchet' . Pushing it through until it fills the worn plastic ratchet piece , making it once again engaging all properly . Insert your set of dies & You're Good To Go Again

* Note I made this quite descriptive , but it was Much Easier to do than Actually Explaining it for sure . I hope this sheds some light when your plastic ratchet wears out , leaving you with no indexing at all ! Then Try My Fix , As I Gunnerized it ;)(y)(y)(y)

Dillon dies are all metal and have no such problems and have tighter tolerances. just saying go blue !
Thank you Mr. Earl 007 I totally agree . Dillon's are quite high in price and at my Age I would never get the long term use Vs investment . Lee Turrets are definitely price point items & lately my Reloading is occasional . You Are Correct ;)(y)(y)

p.s. - I'll be lucky if I make another year or so & no one in my family reloads at all. Just another Reloading Item that will have to be sold upon my passing for next to nothing . No one really knows what i have in any aspect of my total collection money wise for sure

I just do batches and manually index mine
Thank You for your post , and I never did like speed when it came to my reloading of anything . As I am not a high volume shooter , I prefer hands on accuracy , constant rechecking powder throws and cartridge OAL & Function(y)

Yep. I use an RCBS uniflow to load 50 case, weighing most after checking with check weights, then flare, seat, then crimp with a Lee FCD

Sounds a lot like me ! Naturally I use a roll crimp on revolver ammo & on the few ACP's I use the Taper Crimp Die [ now ]

You are truly a hands on reloader and I can applaud you for you being fastidious as am I , Or try like hell to be (y)(y)

Thank You for your reply Mr. Riverpig USMC  💥💥💥🔫
