Just a theory..

This is just a theory, (Im bored, the mail has already run, day 88 has come and gone, so I got to thinkin..) It almost sounds like there's one or two processing agents who maybe cant pull their weight, while most others are efficient enough to meet the 90 day issue limit? That would explain why some (most) are still getting there's within 80-90 days, while a slim few seem to slip through the cracks and take 100+..??

Too bad we cant find out whos processing our licenses and start keeping records on here.. Wouldn't take long to find out who the weak links in the processing center are.. Then we'd have threads like "Aw man, I got inspector #12 on my case.. It's gonna take 4 months AT LEAST with them processing my app.." :D :rolf

Funny!

I would think that would be impossible. The data entry person probably is not the one to issue your license. There are a few stages and signatures to the process. Since every applicant is different and their application may require additional documentation and check points, the application probably touches a few hands during the process.
I keep hoping for a super efficient clerk to do mine and get it back to me in less that 60 days.
I hit day 90 today. This wait is starting to get rough.
Day 80 has come and gone for me also. I'm feeling your frustration.

Yea, that's all it is really.. Frustration.. I was anxious at first when I still thought they were getting them done in 30-40 days.. Then I got on here and seen it was more like 80-90.. So I chilled out and didnt think about much until it got to the 80+ mark.. Now Im reading more and more 90+ day waits and Im not too confident there gonna get mine done by 90.. I've still not called, so who knows.. If it's not here by monday (91 days) I guess I'll call.. But with my luck I'll wait on hold for 30 minutes only to find out Im not even in the system yet or something.. Guess I'll just try and forget about it again..
NOT! :D
The range I went to said that it takes "about two weeks" to get the license... I was going to say something, but forgot to mention it. I really wish it would just take two weeks.
Part of the problem may be why does DOAG process these anyway? That dept. is notoriously underfunded, just ask a DOF employee. Nothing to do except B***h and commiserate with one another. Maybe we should all sign our most recent post with our days in waiting. That would be 36 days for me. (I know, a rookie). 36
So far into Day 56, :popcorn 34 days till my first phone call to DOA :D
They need to process Floridians applications seperately from out of state applicants.

Write to your state representative and state senators about this. I've written to mine.

I do not begrudge out-of-staters applying for a FL license but if it delays us getting our license in a timely manner that is not right.

The guys at the range probably got theirs a long long time ago? A buddy of mine (who got his in June of 08' IIRC) said it only took 9 days to get his.. I was supposed to apply for mine alot sooner than I did, but I procrastinated until just after the election and am payin the "waiting game" price.. Now, he doesnt let me forget it everytime he asks and I have to tell him Im still waiting.. I feel like doin this every time he starts laughing.. ----> :smack

It sure seems that way. I did a lot of homework before signing up and taking the class, and couldn't help but laugh out loud when I read the "two weeks" section of the instruction sheet we were given.

I guess what they were saying is expect to receive it 2 weeks after your 90 day wait...right :D
