Below is my FL Concealed Weapons Class Schedule for December in Miami ...
Saturday January 10th from 10AM to 5PM
Saturday January 24th from 10AM to 5PM
The classroom counterpart of the classes will be located in Pinecrest right off of US1 and 120st. Saturday students will leave the classroom at roughly 3pm and head to an indoor range just off the Palmetto (SR826) and Okeechobee (US27) for roughly an hour of shooting. Thursday students would meet the instructor the following week at Trail Glades Outdoor Range –– Tamiami Trail (SW 8th ST) and Krome Avenue (SW 176Ave) for roughly 2 hours of shooting.
Cost per student is set at $100 and does not include range fees. Range fees range from $10 to $20 depending on time and range location. Loaner guns and eye / ear protection are provided to the student at no cost. Ammunition is not provided and is available for sale at the range or students can bring their own. Each student is required to provide at least 100 rounds of ammunition (100 rounds of 9mm if using a loaner).
I also offer private classes for a minimum of 2 students. Costs starts at $250 for two students with an additional $75 per each extra student. Range fees normally range from $10 to $20 per student for private classes. Loaner guns and eye / ear protection are provided to the student at no cost. Ammunition is not provided and is available for sale at the range or students can bring their own. Each student is required to provide at least 100 rounds of ammunition (100 rounds of 9mm if using a loaner).
All classes are split into 2 parts; theory and practical sessions. Class length runs between 4-6 hours and includes at least 1-2 hours at the range. All students are required to fire a minimum of 50 rounds in all my classes. If there is a particular gun you are considering buying please let me know as I may have the firearm and you may be able to shoot the class with it and see if you really like it before buying it.
Class topics include:
* Safety
* Proper equipment and maintenance
* Ammunition
* Firearm types
* Proper handling of firearms
* FL laws
* Concealment
* Shooting basics
* Firearm presentation
* Tactical / Defensive mind set
At the end of the class, if you have demonstrated proper safe firearm handling procedures and shooting proficiency you will be provided with a certificate of completion as well as all the necessary paperwork/applications needed to apply for a FL CWL.
